| Who are we: | Easynet is one of the
original Australian Internet Service providers (ISP). ISPs come and go,
but we are here for the long haul. We realise that the way to succeed is
to live up to our name and make all aspects of the Net Easy for
our customers.
As an Internet Service Provider, we focus on providing the very best Service to our customers. Very early on we realised that what people want is not just a quality internet connection but quality support to help them through the myriad of problems with their computers and the Net. Large corporate customers get good support from large ISPs and Telcos. Small companies and individuals do not. If you are a small business or a home customer, you are much better off with a smaller ISP who has staff that can remember you and your various needs and problems, and can respond to them quickly. At Easynet we started small and structured ourselves to provide the best support for individuals and small business. We have retained this structure, hence our long term success. When you try out some of our services you will see for yourself why we have never had a complaint against us with the government regulatory body set up to protect the public. (The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman) We have head offices in Sydney Australia, and engineers in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Our dial-up and our Broadband connection are available as local connections Australia wide (anywhere other ISPs can offer service). For your protection we are a full Proprietary Limited Company, not just a business. Our focus is to offer all customers extremely fast, full featured Internet connection, of a standard normally only available under private contract to large corporations, or at premium prices. For businesses we have high data rate capacity available at budget prices. By providing very high quality connections and servers, our customers do not need large amounts of support so our overheads are low and we pass the savings on to you in our prices. |
| Our guarantee: | If you have changed
plans or closed a service that results in us having overcharged you we
place money back into your credit card account on line, or send a cheque
immediately we become aware, no waiting even a single day. The horror
stories you hear about many ISPs making you wait weeks or many months to
get your money back does not happen with us. It would waste your time
and ours for no good reason.
We are confident you will never have a bad word to say about us and will always be recommending us to your friends. In the unlikely event you have a problem with us it will be resolved so quickly that you would never need to complain about us. | Industry bodies you can complain to about ISPs: | There are three organisations that oversea ISP activities. The one that has the most
teeth and can act on your behalf, rule in your favor, and fine ISPs
severely is the TIO. However it will only get involved after you have
given your ISP reasonable opportunity to resolve the problem. If you
have services with an ISP and they are not doing the right thing, or have
draconian invoicing practices or terms, complain to the TIO to get
satisfaction, and then move your business to us. Click to go to the

| Where are we: | Our servers are in an
ISP housing center at Glebe in Sydney. A large percentage of Australian
ISPs have moved their servers into this building. What this gives us is:
Our main office is in Mona Vale in Sydney's Northern Beach suburbs. With the advent of broadband we have given all our staff high speed encrypted links between their homes and our Glebe servers, and to Mona Vale, and have set up dynamic telephone rerouting. This way, since early 2003, we run a distributed work force. This virtual office/work-from-home structure is what we install for many businesses or at least for their executives, so it made sense for us to have it as well. Thus we have more staff, more part time contractors, and at the same time lower overheads. Also Engineers tend to work through the night, this way they can be working on Easynet issues. |
| Other things you will like about us: | We give you a great e-mail address
in the format yourname@easy.com.au It's "easy" to remember. There are no hidden costs. Our prices are publicly available and, as best as we can, they are all published on our web site so you do not get surprises on hidden elements of pricing that were not spelt out up front, and we cannot make up prices as we go. Flexible payment options. We accept Cheques, Money Orders, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Diners, Bankcard, or direct deposits to our bank (cash or electronic). We provide all types of training course and send our personal trainers to your home or office so you can learn fast. Our email server allow you to send or get large photos or other attachments. Single emails can be up to 10MB (This is more than the total mail box space given you by most ISPs) Spam and Junk Mail is blocked in our mail server using a commercial grade mail server. Other ISPs charge $150/month/mailbox for this grade of filtering. We include it FREE for all email customers. Large range of internet connection plans, so one can be found that is right for you - from as little as $6 per month, or as low as 1/2 of one cent per minute! With our dial-in services the number of customers per modem is kept low, you won't be haunted by engaged lines when logging in. Full featured Easynet LINUX web servers, supporting the latest extensions so you can create dazzling web pages. All connection packages include 25 Mbytes for setting up your own web pages. For all dial-in services there is no minimum number of months of commitment, payment is simply monthly in advance. (Many customers pay a few months at a time, for their own convenience) As long as we provide a good service customers stay so we do not need to have penalties. Similarly for broadband there is no minimum term (There is a bond for the first six months) Everything for small business; web page creation, shopping carts, databases, Virtual Web Hosting, Domain Name worldwide registration etc. Professional technical support, with fully trained graduate electronics engineers and computer scientists. |
